Welcome To Felton Family Farms
C-CUBED

C-Cubed is a malbec-led red blend wine from the high-altitude vineyard lands of the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina.

The primary component of the wine, the malbec grape, is best known as a contributory ingredient to the great Bordeaux wines of France. But the malbec grape grown in Argentina, at the foot of the Andes, has found a salutary home where it produces, all on its own, a marvelous velvety profile.

A Delicious Blend of Distinctive Argentine Grapes

Our C-Cubed red blend wines lead with plush, velvety black currant, black cherry and spice aromas, and continue with plum, vanilla, fennel and cardamom notes upon taste. Each C-Cubed vintage is a uniquely concocted malbec-led blend of the best available juices from the Uco Valley’s distinctive red grapes, including cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, syrah, and petit verdot.

Fermented in Neutral French Oak Barrels

Felton Family Farms’ C-Cubed red blend wines are barrel-fermented in second-use French Oak barrels, allowing for the beautifully balanced, mellow black and red fruit flavors of the wines, while also lending to their soft, elegant finishes.

  • Our 2017 vintage of Felton Family Farms “C-Cubed” is a blend of 50% malbec / 20% cabernet sauvignon / 20% merlot / 10% syrah. The syrah juice was absolutely delicious, but other buyers around us recognized that fact as well, limiting the amount we could add to our blend.
  • The blend for our 2018 vintage consists of 60% malbec / 20% syrah / 10% cabernet franc / 10% merlot. We were again especially pleased with the syrah component.
  • Our 2019 vintage has another new blend: 70% malbec / 20% syrah / 10% merlot. Once again, we felt the syrah juice made for a better wine, although the malbec this year was stunning.
  • The 2020 vintage is a blend of 70% malbec / 25% cabernet franc / 5% merlot.  Once again, we used stunning malbec juice, with some structure from the cab franc and some mellowing from the small bit of merlot.
